We are excited to announce Hailee Ellis as our new teacher at the Middle School. A proud 2022 Gentry graduate, Hailee Ellis attended Gentry Public Schools from kindergarten through high school and will always "bleed maroon." She studied Mathematics and STEM Education at NWACC and the University of Arkansas to earn her teaching license. Inspired by the community's recent growth, she is thrilled to return home and be a part of that positive change.
Outside of teaching, Hailee enjoys cooking, watercolor painting, playing with her cats, and spending quality time with her family—especially when it involves outdoor activities, a little competition, and good food.

As members of Gentry High School's Class of 2026 prepare to begin their college journeys, many are doing so with the support of an incredible community that believes in their future.
This past year, more than $50,000 was raised in local scholarships through the generosity of families, businesses, churches, civic organizations, alumni, and community members. While these scholarships may not provide a full ride, they make higher education more affordable, and,for many students make college possible.
Each spring, Gentry High School hosts its annual Scholarship Ceremony, where scholarship benefactors have the opportunity to personally present awards to graduating seniors. Some scholarships are awarded through the general scholarship fund based on academic achievement and school involvement, while others are selected through applications that reflect the specific wishes of the donor. Scholarship funds are sent directly to each student's college or university to help with educational expenses.
We are incredibly grateful to everyone who invested in our students this year. Your generosity is changing lives and opening doors for the next generation of Pioneers.

We are excited to announce Tory Bradley as our new teacher at the Primary School. A lifelong Gravette resident, Tory Bradley graduated from the University of Arkansas with a degree in K-6 Elementary Education. After teaching at Shaw Elementary in Springdale, she transitioned to Gentry Primary as a long-term Kindergarten substitute. Tory loves the community here and can't imagine a better place for her first official year of teaching.
Outside the classroom, she enjoys reading, building Lego sets, hitting the gym, and following sports (though she admits basketball isn't her strength). She also loves training and riding horses with her dad and spending quality time with her family.

Gentry High School senior outfielder Abba Tucker has officially committed to continue her softball career at Ecclesia College in Springdale after she graduates from GHS!
Abba’s next chapter will take her into a program that blends athletics, academics, and faith-based education as she continues her journey at the collegiate level. Ecclesia College softball competes in the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) Division I, where the program regularly faces a mix of NCCAA, NAIA, and regional collegiate opponents while continuing to build its identity as a competitive, faith-based program in Springdale.
Gentry Softball Head Coach Shawn Teters shared high praise for her impact on the program:
“Abba has been an important part of our team. She's a great teammate and is always putting in work to get better. I'm super proud of her progress and can't wait to see her crush it at Ecclesia.”

We are excited to announce Anna Southerland as our new teacher at the Intermediate school. Anna Southerland earned her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from UCA and her Master of Arts in Teaching from SAU. For the past four years, she has dedicated herself to inspiring young minds as a second-grade teacher at Mountain Springs Elementary in Cabot.
Anna is thrilled to join Gentry Public Schools, and says that she is drawn by the district's strong sense of community, commitment to student success, and emphasis on meaningful relationships between educators and families. She looks forward to making a lasting impact while continuing to grow professionally.
Outside the classroom, Anna has been happily married for five years, and she and her husband share a beautiful two-year-old daughter, Addison, and two beloved dogs, Bella and Leia. Gentry High School Senior Kacie Wood is spending part of her summer participating in the NextGen Police Academy hosted by the Siloam Springs Police Department!
The academy provides students with a firsthand look at careers in law enforcement through hands-on training, teamwork exercises, leadership development, and opportunities to learn directly from police officers.
For Kacie, the experience aligns perfectly with her future goals. She plans to begin working in emergency dispatching while completing coursework at Coffeyville Community College, where she also hopes to continue competing in track and field. From there, she plans to attend Missouri Southern State University and major in Criminology with aspirations of working in crime scene investigation and forensic science.
Kacie also hopes to attend a police academy, serve as a law enforcement officer, and continue advancing her career in public safety.

While our students are enjoying summer break, crews across Gentry Public Schools are hard at work preparing for another great school year.
Our operations team and contractors are completing painting, floor waxing, and facility improvements across the district, including updates to the high school gym, paint upgrades at Gentry Intermediate School, and fresh paint throughout our campuses.
The high school gym refresh also provides an opportunity to modernize the look and feel of the facility. We are exploring updated branding, new logos, and more modern display options to better showcase Gentry’s accomplishments. We are excited to announce Jessica Zbylut as our new science teacher at the high school. With 10 years of experience in teaching and coaching, Jessica Zbylut was an 8th-grade Science and Physical Science teacher at George Junior High in Springdale, where she was named the 2025–2026 Teacher of the Year. A dedicated lifelong learner, Jessica holds a BS in Physical Education and endorsements in Coaching, ESL, and Special Education. This June, she will complete her MA in Excellence in Teaching from Harding University, having recently earned her Lead Professional Educator designation from the Arkansas Department of Education.
Jessica is excited to join Gentry Public Schools, a move that allows her to serve her local community alongside her husband, a primary school teacher, and their daughter, who is entering first grade. Passionate about supporting diverse learners, she looks forward to contributing to Gentry both as an educator and a parent.
Outside the classroom, Jessica enjoys traveling with her family—aiming to visit all 50 states before age 50—as well as gardening, raising fish, and exploring Northwest Arkansas with her husband, daughter, and their pets.

Our cheerleaders recently attended a three-day NCA Cheer Camp in Siloam Springs, where they represented Gentry with incredible spirit and extraordinary class. Throughout the camp, the team demonstrated the dedication that has become the bedrock of the Pioneer Cheer program.
