Human Resources

The purpose of a school’s Human Resources (HR) department is to manage the recruitment, development, and well-being of the school’s staff and faculty. HR is responsible for hiring qualified personnel, providing onboarding and training, and ensuring that employees have the resources and support they need to perform effectively in their roles.

In addition to these core functions, the HR department plays a key role in maintaining a positive work environment by addressing employee concerns, facilitating professional development opportunities, and promoting compliance with labor laws and educational regulations. By fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement, HR contributes to the overall effectiveness of the school—enhancing both staff satisfaction and student outcomes. Ultimately, a strong HR department is essential for building a skilled and motivated workforce that supports the school’s mission and goals.

At our district, the HR Department is here to assist you with onboarding, completing necessary forms, and navigating general processes. While we are your first point of contact, certain questions—such as those about your health insurance coverage or teacher retirement options—are best handled by the customer service departments of our benefits providers, who can offer more detailed and accurate guidance.

For payroll tax withholdings, please note that employees are responsible for deciding their own withholding amounts. If you need detailed advice, we recommend consulting a personal accountant or tax professional. Our role is simply to enter the information you provide on your W-4 form—we do not calculate or adjust your withholdings manually.

You're always welcome to reach out to us first, and we’ll be glad to help point you in the right direction. The FAQs below provide general guidance and helpful information on topics like new hire forms, contact details, license renewal, job applications, and substitute teaching. For official answers or specific concerns, please refer to your supervisor, the Human Resources department, or the district policies. While this FAQ is intended to be helpful, documents such as salary schedules, personnel policies, and provider-issued benefit explanations are the official sources that take precedence in the event of any discrepancies.

We appreciate your understanding and look forward to supporting you however we can!
