GENTRY, AR — Gentry High School senior Aubrey Dickinson was crowned Homecoming Queen during the school’s Homecoming Celebration Friday, Oct. 9, recognizing a student whose involvement in school activities and commitment to agricultural education have made her a valued member of the Pioneer community.

Dickinson, the daughter of Todd and Savannah Dickinson, is active in the GHS Cheer program and the school’s Future Farmers of America (FFA) chapter.

Wendy Jackson, one of Gentry High School’s agriculture teachers, praised Dickinson for her dedication to the FFA program and her willingness to help younger students develop their own interests in agriculture.

“Aubrey has been a part of our FFA since the seventh grade, and we are so happy she was chosen as Homecoming Queen,” Jackson said. “Aubrey is always willing to volunteer to help, whether it’s with our mum project, Bingo night, helping out at the fair, greenhouse and plant sales. She was a member of the state-winning Meats Judging Team as a freshman. She continues to be a positive influence on our younger members, too, and we congratulate her on this big honor.”

Dickinson’s involvement in agricultural education also includes accomplishments in livestock showing. At the recent Benton County Fair, she earned Reserve Champion Market Hog, Champion Heavyweight Hog and Reserve Medium Weight Hog honors. She was also named Champion Senior Showmanship.

In addition to honoring Dickinson as queen, Gentry High School recognized its Homecoming court and captains during the celebration. Atreyu Banks and Titus Cable served as Homecoming Captains after being selected by the varsity football team.
