GENTRY, AR – Arvest Bank has committed $60,000 as a Title Sponsor of the new state-of-the-art video board at Gentry’s Pioneer Stadium, an investment that shows the bank’s support of Gentry Public Schools and the Gentry community.
The investment represents more than support for a new videoboard. It is a partnership with Gentry students and in the experiences, accomplishments and opportunities that bring the school community together.
The new video board provides Gentry Public Schools with a modern platform to recognize students, celebrate achievements and showcase the many things happening throughout the district. It also enhances the experiences at athletic, band and extracurricular events for students, families and visitors for years to come. Additionally, Gentry students participating in the Middle School EAST program have been operating live video equipment during events that allows fans to get a broader experience into the events while giving the students hands-on professional experiences.
“We are incredibly grateful to Arvest Bank for making this commitment to Gentry students,” said Gentry Superintendent Dr. Tyler Broyles. “It's a direct investment in our students and in the opportunities we have to celebrate who they are and what they're accomplishing. Whether we're recognizing an individual student's achievement, celebrating a team, highlighting our band and fine arts programs or welcoming families to a community event, this will give us another way to put our students at the center of the experience.”
The video board will be used throughout the year for a wide variety of events at Pioneer Stadium, including football games, band competitions, soccer matches, track meets and other athletic and extracurricular activities. The district plans to host a movie night and invite the community to come watch a popular movie from the stadium turf under the night sky.
Those events bring thousands of students, families and visitors to Gentry each year, creating an opportunity for the video board to serve as both a community gathering point and a showcase for Gentry students.
“Investing in Gentry’s students is an investment in the future of the community,” said Tammy Engle, President of Arvest Bank’s Siloam Springs region. “What makes this partnership especially meaningful is the opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience while helping showcase the accomplishments of their classmates. We’re proud to support a project that both enhances events held at the stadium and gives students new ways to learn, contribute and take pride in their school.”
For local businesses, sponsorship of the video board provides an opportunity to connect their name with the Gentry community while directly supporting students. Arvest Bank's $60,000 commitment establishes the first Title Sponsorship associated with the project, with additional businesses already committing to sponsorship opportunities.
“Community partnerships like this are an important part of what makes projects like this possible,” Broyles said. “When local businesses invest in our schools, they are investing in the students and families who live, work and build their lives here. We are thankful to Arvest and to every business that has chosen to be part of this project.”
