GENTRY, AR— Gentry Primary School today hosted its monthly Celebration Assembly, recognizing students, teachers and classes for their accomplishments throughout the month and highlighting the importance of kindness as a core part of the school community.
September’s character trait at Gentry Primary was kindness, and the assembly provided an opportunity to recognize students who demonstrated exceptional kindness toward their classmates and others.
School leaders emphasized that seemingly small acts of caring, helping and encouraging others can have a significant impact on the school community. Recognizing students for these actions reinforces the importance of character alongside academic and extracurricular achievement.
The assembly also recognized Donna Harris as Teacher of the Month and Shanna Wilson as Classified Staff Member of the Month.
Harris and Wilson were recognized for the care, effort and commitment they bring to their work with Gentry Primary students each day.
Students were also recognized for accomplishments in a variety of special-area classes, including physical education, music, library and STEM. The school also celebrated students whose artwork was selected as part of the month’s art recognition.
The monthly Celebration Assembly provides Gentry Primary with an opportunity to bring students and staff together to recognize accomplishments, celebrate positive character and highlight the many ways students are growing and succeeding beyond the traditional classroom setting.
“Celebrations like this give us an opportunity to recognize not only what our students accomplish, but who they are becoming,” said Andrea Folger, principal of Gentry Primary School. “We are proud of the kindness, creativity, hard work and Pioneer spirit our students demonstrate every day.”
The September Celebration Assembly was a reflection of Gentry Primary School’s commitment to recognizing the whole student and creating a school culture where kindness, effort and achievement are celebrated together.
