GENTRY, AR -- Three Gentry High School students were recognized during the Benton County Fair pageants this past weekend, with each student earning a top honor in the competition.

Sophomore Rachel Leonard was crowned Jr. Miss Teen at the Benton County Fair. Fellow sophomore Caleigh Farrar was named first runner-up, while senior Kyah Manen earned second runner-up honors.

The accomplishments highlight the confidence, poise and communication skills demonstrated by the three Gentry students throughout the competition.

Pageants provide participants with opportunities to develop skills that extend beyond the stage, including public speaking, interviewing, confidence, presentation and representing their communities. For students, the experience can also provide opportunities to set goals, prepare for competition and build relationships with others throughout their community.

The Benton County Fair has long served as a gathering place for families and communities across the region, celebrating the area's agricultural heritage, local accomplishments and community traditions.
