GENTRY, AR — With the first day of school set for Wednesday, Aug. 12, Gentry Public Schools is encouraging families to take advantage of its annual Back-to-School Guide, a convenient online resource designed to help students and parents prepare for a successful start to the new school year.

The Back-to-School Guide serves as a one-stop destination for families, offering quick access to essential district information while answering many of the questions parents ask most frequently.

Visitors will find links to important resources including the district calendar, parent and student handbook, school traffic flow maps, enrollment information, and much more. The webpage also features a comprehensive Back-to-School Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) section covering topics such as:

• School hours

• Bus routes and transportation

• Student drop-off and pick-up procedures

• After-school care

• Cafeteria menus and meal information

• How Gentry Public Schools communicates with families

• Athletics and extracurricular opportunities

• School safety information

"We know the beginning of a new school year comes with plenty of questions," said Mark Scott, Director of Community Engagement for Gentry Public Schools. "Our goal is to provide families with one central location where they can quickly find the answers and resources they need so students can start the year ready to learn."

In addition to exploring the online Back-to-School Guide, families are encouraged to attend their school's Open House to meet teachers, tour classrooms, and prepare for the new year. Open House dates include:

• Gentry High School

  and

  Gentry Middle School

  : Thursday, Aug. 6, from 5-7 p.m.

• Gentry Primary School

  : Friday, Aug. 7, from 5-7 p.m.

• Gentry Intermediate School

  : Monday, Aug. 10, from 5-7 p.m.

Whether families are returning for another school year or joining Gentry Public Schools for the first time, the Back-to-School Guide is designed to make finding important information quick, easy, and convenient before students return to class on Aug. 12.
