GENTRY, AR — Gentry High School senior Abba Tucker has committed to continue her academic and athletic career at Ecclesia College in Springdale, where she will play softball following her graduation from GHS in 2027.

An outfielder for the Lady Pioneers, Tucker will join an Ecclesia College program that emphasizes excellence in athletics, academics, and Christian faith. The Royals compete in the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) Division I and regularly face competition from NCCAA, NAIA, and other regional collegiate programs.

Gentry Head Softball Coach Shawn Teters said Tucker has earned the opportunity through her dedication and steady growth as both a player and teammate.

"Abba has been an important part of our team. She's a great teammate and is always putting in work to get better. I'm super proud of her progress and can't wait to see her crush it at Ecclesia."

Tucker's commitment reflects the continued success of Gentry High School student-athletes who are pursuing opportunities to compete at the collegiate level while furthering their education.

While Tucker prepares for collegiate softball, she and her Gentry teammates also have their sights set on the upcoming high school season as the Lady Pioneers look to build on the momentum of a strong program and compete for another successful year following a Regional Tournament Championship and a return to the State Tournament.
