GENTRY, AR -- Fresh off a National Championship season, the Gentry High School Varsity Cheer Team continued its momentum this summer with an impressive performance at the National Cheerleaders Association (NCA) Cheer Camp in Siloam Springs.

During three days of competition, training, and leadership development, the Lady Pioneers showcased the hard work, dedication, and team-first culture that have become hallmarks of the Gentry Cheer program.

The team earned numerous honors throughout the camp, including two Superior Evaluations for its Jam Routine and Game Day Cheer on the final day of competition. Gentry also received an Excellence Evaluation for its Jam Routine, the Technical Excellence Award in Pyramid, the prestigious Herkie Team Award, and recognition as the camp's Most Improved squad.

Several individual cheerleaders were also recognized for their achievements and leadership.

Senior Recognition Ribbons were awarded to Kyah Manen, Aubrey Dickinson, Kadence Watson, Eagan Harper, and Dylan Eller.

The NCA "Pin It Forward" honor, which recognizes leadership, encouragement, and positive influence among teammates, was presented to Sophomore Addie Knight, Junior Heidi Chamberlain, Sophomore Madison Lopez, and Freshman Brody Meyers.

Ten Gentry cheerleaders earned nominations for NCA All-American honors, including Senior Kyah Manen, Junior Ryliegh Eklund, Sophomore Madison Lopez, Sophomore Addie Knight, Sophomore Kayla Newsom, Sophomore Maddie Kenyon, Sophomore Caleigh Farrar, Sophomore Rachel Leonard, Freshman Kassidy Smith, and Freshman Hayden Hutchek.

Three Lady Pioneers ultimately earned NCA All-American recognition: Senior Kyah Manen, Sophomore Addie Knight, and Sophomore Madison Lopez.

Additionally, Senior Kyah Manen, Senior Kadence Watson, and Senior Eagan Harper received NCA Staff Nominations, a distinction awarded by camp instructors to athletes who demonstrate exceptional skill, leadership, and character.

The strong showing at NCA Camp serves as an exciting start to the 2026-27 season and reflects the dedication of a team determined to continue building on its recent success.
