GENTRY, AR — Gentry High School senior Callie Jordan will continue her softball and academic career at the collegiate level after committing to attend Fort Scott Community College beginning in the Fall of 2027, where she will join the Greyhound softball program.
Jordan has been a cornerstone of the Lady Pioneer softball team throughout her high school career, serving as a three-year starter in the pitching circle and helping establish Gentry as one of the top programs in Class 4A. As she enters her senior season, Jordan will be counted on as one of the team's leaders as the Lady Pioneers look to defend their regional championship and make another run at a state title.
Her accomplishments on the field have earned recognition from coaches and media across the state. Following the 2026 season, Jordan was named All-State, earned 4A-1 All-Conference honors, and was selected to the 4A State All-Tournament Team.
Jordan's impact has been especially evident when the stakes are highest. Over the past three seasons, she has posted a combined postseason earned run average of under 2.50 while consistently delivering strong performances against some of the state's top competition.
"She has been a consistent presence in the circle for us and one of the best pitchers in our conference ever since her freshman year," Gentry softball coach Shawn Teters said. "She always seems to step it up in the postseason. We're all so proud of Callie, and I'm so happy she's found a place that's going to put her in a position to keep growing."
Jordan's commitment marks the next step in a career defined by consistency, leadership, and success, Teters said. Her ability to perform in pressure situations has helped fuel Gentry's recent postseason success, and she will have one final opportunity to lead the Lady Pioneers before beginning her collegiate journey in Kansas.
As she prepares for her senior campaign, Jordan's commitment serves as both a reward for years of hard work and a testament to the impact she has made on the Gentry softball program, according to Teters. With another talented roster returning around her, she will look to help guide the Lady Pioneers toward another memorable season before joining the Greyhounds next year.
