GENTRY, AR -- Senior Arthur Lee has earned the distinguished honor of Valedictorian for the Pioneer Class of 2026.
Arthur’s commitment to academic excellence has guided him throughout his high school career, setting him apart among a highly competitive class of accomplished students. As valedictorian, Arthur also received a $1,500 college scholarship presented during a recent awards ceremony recognizing outstanding senior achievement.
In addition to this honor, Arthur was recently recognized by Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders during Scholastic Honors Day at the Governor’s Mansion. This prestigious event honors only two students from each high school across the state, highlighting Arthur’s exceptional academic accomplishments and leadership.
Arthur represents the very best of Gentry High School, and school officials say his achievements reflect both dedication and perseverance throughout his academic journey.
“Earning this honor is something that comes through a huge amount of hard work and commitment to your education throughout your high school career,” said Scott McCollum, Gentry High School registrar. “It was very close, and we have a number of deserving students who worked really hard, but when everything was tallied, Arthur came out as our valedictorian.”
As Arthur prepares for graduation, school staff and community members celebrate his accomplishments and look forward to seeing what he will achieve in the future.
“Arthur represents the very best of Gentry High School, and we can’t wait to see all he accomplishes in the future,” Gentry High School Principal Justin Blanchard added.
