🌟 Gentry Public Schools is Investing in Our Staff and Students! 🌟

At Gentry, we believe great schools start with great educators — and we’re proud to prove it. At the March School Board Meeting, the Gentry School Board approved a new salary schedule designed to deliver meaningful raises earlier in a teacher’s career while continuing to reward the experience of veteran educators who dedicate their careers to our students. 📚💙

💰 Real Raises for Our Teachers

Next year’s salary schedule provides pay increases for every teacher, at every stage of their career. Under the previous system, in many cases teachers with fewer years of experience earned the same base salary as veteran teachers — that changes now. The new schedule offers competitive starting pay and steady year-to-year growth.

When implemented, many teachers will see raises of more than $1,000 compared to the current salary schedule, with some receiving up to $2,300 in additional base salary compared to the current schedule. 📈 This structure ensures that as you gain experience, your compensation grows — making Gentry a place where your career and your paycheck grow together.

🏫 What That Growth Looks Like in Real Terms (Bachelor’s Track)

A first-year teacher with a Bachelor’s degree begins at $50,500. By year 15, base salary reaches $54,800, and at the top of the schedule, it reaches $58,800.

🎓 Rewarding Professional Growth (Degree Stipends)

Gentry strongly supports continued education with stipends above base salary, including:

Bachelor’s +15 hours: $1,200
Master’s Degree: $4,800
Master’s +15: $5,400
Master’s +30: $6,000
Education Specialist (Ed.S.): $7,000
Doctorate: $8,000

For example, a teacher in year 5 with a Master’s earns $56,100, a year 20 teacher with a Master’s earns $60,600, and top-tier veterans earn even more. Professional growth truly pays at Gentry. 💡

👥 Raises for Classified Staff Too

Classified staff will receive a $250 raise in addition to the standard 3% annual increase approved for next year. These adjustments continue our commitment to supporting the employees who keep our schools running every day. 🏫

🏆 Loyalty to Gentry

We also recognize long-term commitment with longevity stipends for all employees:

5 years: $500
10 years: $750
15 years: $1,000
20 years: $1,250
25 years: $1,500

Experience and dedication matter here. ❤️

🌟 Extra Recognition and Support

In addition to these raises, staff receive consistent bonuses year after year. This investment comes alongside free school supplies, a brand new Pre-K program, and ongoing classroom and staff support.

At Gentry Public Schools, we work hard to make every dollar count for students, families, and the people who serve them — investing in academics, the arts, athletics, facilities, safety, and people.

It’s a great day to be a Pioneer!
