Outsiders

GENTRY, AR -- The Gentry High School Theatre Department will raise the curtain tonight on its fall production of The Outsiders, bringing S.E. Hinton’s beloved coming-of-age novel to the stage. Students will present three performances this week in the Gentry High School Auditorium, running Thursday through Saturday.

The cast and crew have spent weeks preparing for opening night. According to theatre director Josh McBride, students have shown exceptional dedication throughout the rehearsal process, committing long hours to mastering scenes, refining character work, and coordinating technical elements.

Show dates are as follows:

  • Thursday, November 20

  • Friday, November 21

  • Saturday, November 22

Doors open each night at 6 p.m., with the performance beginning at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $7 and may be purchased online or at the door.

McBride said the students have grown significantly as performers since the start of the semester, and the production reflects the effort they have invested. The department encourages community members to attend and support the young actors as they bring this classic story to life.

Community members are invited to enjoy an evening of live theatre and celebrate the hard work of Gentry High School’s theatre students.
