GENTRY, AR — Gentry High School proudly announced Senior Alexis Lopez as the 2025 Homecoming Queen during a special ceremony before the Pioneers’ homecoming football game against Huntsville on Friday night.

Alexis, a standout student and athlete, is a member of the National Honor Society and competes in both softball and volleyball. Known for her leadership on and off the field, she plans to attend Crowder College after graduation, where she will pursue a degree in kinesiology while continuing her athletic career as a collegiate softball player.

“Alexis exemplifies being a good teammate and is known not only for her leadership and her academic and athletic abilities, but for her kindness, generosity, and constant smile,” said Justin Blanchard, principal of Gentry High School. “She is very deserving of this honor.”

Joining Alexis in the spotlight were Aidan Eller and Talan Williams, who were named Homecoming Captains in a presentation prior to kickoff.

The celebration continued as the Gentry Pioneers defeated Huntsville 21–7, securing a memorable homecoming victory. Festivities wrapped up on Saturday with a student events on Main Street in downtown Gentry, capping off a weekend full of school spirit, pride, and community celebrations.
