"There’s No Place Like HOMEcoming" is the theme for Gentry High School’s 2025 Football Homecoming, as the Pioneer community gears up for a spirited week of celebration leading up to the big game on Friday, October 17, when the Gentry Pioneers will face off against the Huntsville Eagles at Pioneer Stadium.
Homecoming Spirit Week runs from October 13–17, with students encouraged to participate in themed dress-up days to show their Pioneer pride. Community members and students are invited to post their photos throughout the week using hashtags #GentryHOCO2025 and #gentrystuco.
Highlights of Homecoming:
Friday, October 17 – Homecoming Day
- The Presentation of Maids and Escorts and a pep rally will be held at 10:45 a.m. at Pioneer Stadium. 
- Parade lineup will begin at noon on Railroad Avenue, with the parade starting at 1 p.m.. 
- A chicken dinner tailgate fundraiser, hosted by the GHS softball team, will be held from 5-6:20 p.m.. Dinners are $10 each. 
- The Homecoming Ceremony and Crowning of the 2025 Queen will take place at 6:20 p.m. at Pioneer Stadium. 
- Kickoff for the Gentry Pioneers vs. Huntsville Eagles game is set for 7:00 p.m.
