GENTRY, AR – The Gentry School Board has officially approved a project to revitalize the interior of Gentry Middle School, bringing a fresh and cohesive look to the heart of the campus.
The approved plan includes a complete repainting of key interior spaces:
- All main hallways
- The school’s front lobby area
The project is part of the district’s ongoing efforts to modernize school facilities and maintain a positive, welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. Gentry Middle School serves students in grades 6-8 and plays a vital role in the Gentry Public Schools system, known for its commitment to academic excellence and community-focused values.
“This update is about more than just aesthetics—it’s about showing pride in our schools and creating a space that reflects the energy and potential of our students,” said Superintendent Dr. Tyler Broyles. “We’ve seen the incredible transformation at Gentry High School, and we’re excited to extend that same vision to the middle school.”
Although the refresh was included in the district’s current budget, it required specific line-item approval from the board. With the green light now granted, preparations for the painting project are underway.
“We’re grateful to our School Board for their continued support in investing in our facilities,” said Gentry Middle School Principal Dr. Elizabeth Wieneke. “Improvements like this directly contribute to a positive school culture and student pride.”
Work on the interior refresh is expected to begin in the coming weeks, with updates to be shared as the project progresses.
