New Teachers

GENTRY, AR — Gentry Public Schools proudly welcomed a talented group of new educators to the district during its annual New Teacher Orientation today. The event marked the beginning of their journey as part of the Gentry Pioneer family and highlighted the district’s deep commitment to supporting educators, fostering a sense of community, and ensuring student success.

Hosted at Gentry High School, the orientation gave new teachers the opportunity to connect with district leaders, explore the district’s mission and values, and receive vital resources to help them hit the ground running on day one.

Superintendent Dr. Tyler Broyles addressed the new staff with a message of encouragement and unity: “We are excited to welcome you to a district where your voice matters, where teamwork is essential, and where our students benefit from the close relationships that only a small, connected district can provide,” he said.

The orientation included sessions and conversations led by district administrators, focusing on classroom culture, instructional support, technology tools, and student engagement strategies. Veteran staff shared insights and tips, while central office leaders emphasized the district’s ongoing investment in professional development and mentorship.

Gentry Public Schools, a close-knit district with a tradition of excellence, prides itself on providing a strong support network for educators. In a smaller district like Gentry, teachers are more than staff—they’re partners in shaping the future of every child. With strong backing from administrators and the school board, teachers in Gentry are empowered to innovate, collaborate, and grow, Assistant Superintendent Dr. Devon Conrad told the group.

“We’re not just hiring teachers—we’re inviting people into a family," she said. "The work ahead is meaningful and challenging, but no one does it alone here. Our team is here to support you every step of the way.”

As the 2025–2026 school year approaches, Gentry Public Schools is ready to build on a legacy of educational excellence, with new teachers equipped, encouraged, and inspired to make a lasting impact in the classroom.
