Gentry, AR — Graduating seniors at Gentry High School will receive more than $1 million in academic, athletic, and community scholarships as they plan their educational futures after graduation, according to High School Principal Justin Blanchard. Students received special recognition during a ceremony earlier this week.

“This is a great time of year – not just as we prepare for graduation, but as we see the futures of our students take shape,” Blanchard said. “We’re extremely proud of our 2025 graduates.”

Local scholarship recipients were:

  • Alexis Osbourn – Ayden Cotton 24 Forever Scholarship

  • Angelo Lavi – Scottie Nolan Memorial Scholarship and the Live Like Ayden Scholarship

  • Bennett Roberts – Smith Drug Scholarship and the Jim Wilbanks Memorial Scholarship

  • Blaine Reid – Bill Simmons Memorial Scholarship

  • Cayci Capps – Key Lodge #7 Scholarship, Dr. Robert Hull Memorial Scholarship, Mabel Jordan Memorial Scholarship, Gentry Alumni Association Scholarship, Atterberry Memorial Scholarship, and the Grand Savings Bank Scholarship

  • Cheyenne Kollman – Bill Simmons Memorial Scholarship

  • Cindy Barger – Grand Savings Bank Scholarship

  • Daniel Ibarra Lee – SWEPCO Scholarship

  • Mesach Rodriguez – Bill Simmons Memorial Scholarship

  • Miley Gardisser – Cripps Family Memorial Scholarship

  • Morgan Polina – Class of 1974 Scholarship, Kevin Hodges GYO Memorial Scholarship, Carroll Electric Scholarship, and the Atterberry Memorial Scholarship

  • Presley Ward – Mabel Jordan Memorial Scholarship and the Gentry High School Entrepreneur Award

  • Raegan Michael – Mary Lou and Norman Koeller Memorial Scholarship, Community Blood Center Scholarship, and the Gentry FBLA Scholarship

  • Raegan Rigney – Dr. Robert Hull Memorial Scholarship, NWA Cattlewomen’s Association Scholarship, Weir Family Memorial Scholarship, Benton County Farm Bureau Scholarship, Evans Memorial Scholarship, and the Grand Savings Bank Scholarship

  • Sareth Tovar – Lockhart Family Scholarship

In all, Gentry community groups, businesses, families, and individuals contributed more than $50,000 in scholarships to graduating seniors. The District would like to also thank the United Way for their significant contributions to the students, which are distributed through scholarships associated with student grade point averages.

Colleges and universities scholarship recipients will attend this fall include: University of Arkansas–Fayetteville, John Brown University, Hendrix College, Arizona State University, Oklahoma State University, Northeast Oklahoma, University of Arkansas–Fort Smith, Crowder College, Evangel University, Kansas Wesleyan, Virginia Commonwealth University, Northeast State University, Northwest Arkansas Community College, and Kimbel Mechanical College.
