Youth Excellence Award

GENTRY, AR — Two outstanding students from Gentry Public Schools have been recognized with Youth Excellence Awards by the Kiwanis Club of Bentonville/Bella Vista, honoring their leadership, academic achievement, and business skills.

Emery Brown, a senior at Gentry High School, and Rachel Leonard, an eighth-grade student at Gentry Middle School, were selected from among the top business-minded students across Benton County for this prestigious recognition.

The awards were presented during a ceremony held at Fullbright Junior High in Bentonville, following a formal proclamation by Benton County Judge Barry Moehring. The event featured Sean Kent, president of Ozark Adaptive Sports Association, as the guest speaker.

Joni Wilson, Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) advisor at Gentry High School, expressed pride in the students’ accomplishments. “We’re incredibly proud of our students and their drive to lead in business and beyond. Emery and Rachel represent the future of leadership in our community.”

The Youth Excellence Awards celebrate students who demonstrate outstanding potential in leadership, academics, and service. The Kiwanis Club of Bentonville/Bella Vista continues to support youth development and community engagement throughout Northwest Arkansas.
