The girls ended off their week with a win, leading into their spring break. The next game was against Rogers Heritage, on Monday, March 25th.
The Pioneers softball team is on a roll, winning against Rogers Heritage. This win was big for the team, for Heritage is a 6A school. The girls were very proud of their performance.
Coach Shawn Teters was very pleased with how the girls played. As he says, “This was a great game against a 6A opponent that beat us 17-2 last year. It was a great team effort and I was proud of the girls for battling the whole game and leaving with a win.”
Some of the girls who contributed to this achievement were junior Cindy Barger, who had the game-winning hit in the top of the 7th to put them up by 2. Junior Evey Tomlinson scored the team 2-3, and sophomore Iris Still went 2-3 with a double and an RBI.
The girls have been working hard this season and have had a great win streak. Come support the girls at their next game on March 28th, against West Fork at the Tigers stadium. They also play tomorrow, March 29th.
