Show Off Your Talent at the GHS Talent Show!
If any students play an instrument, sing, dance, or like to perform, then they can sign up for the Gentry High School talent show with Mr. Millsap in room 203 by April 19th.
Juniors Cayci Capps and Alexis Osbourn were the ones who came up with the event. They are hoping for at least 15-20 students to audition to be able to host the talent show. Capps and Millsap will get different teachers to be on the judging panel and the top contenders will receive a prize. It will take place in the auditorium and will cost a dollar to get in. However, as of right now, the date is to be determined.
Capps said, “Mr. Millsap and I came together and thought that trying to bring the talent show back would be a lot of fun. I was hoping that a lot of people would see the good,” and, “I think this is such a great idea because it can give kids something to look forward to at the end of the school year.”
Sophomore Tabitha Simmons said, “I would love to participate, but I’m unsure of what I should do; the classic singing or playing my flute.”
So far no students have signed up but there is still time to get in. This is a great opportunity for students to show off their talents in front of a large audience and be awarded for it.
As mentioned previously, if anyone is interested in participating, they can go to room 203. Any additional questions about the talent show can be directed to Capps (cayci.cap25@gentrypioneers.com) or Mr. Millsap (amillsap@gentrypioneers.com).
