Come See the GHS Band at Their Spring Concert!
On Thursday, April 25th at 6 p.m., the Gentry High School band will perform at their 2024 Spring Band Concert in the auditorium. The yearly event allows the band to express their progression throughout the year and the different practices of music styles and techniques.
Junior Jesus Echeverria said, “I’m very excited about this upcoming concert. I’m most looking forward to going up on stage and performing for family and friends.”
Junior Kailyn Lemke said, “I am excited to feel the magic of performing for the last time in the school year. The last concert of the year is always the most magical and it is so eye-opening that it is one of my favorites. It allows me to share with people the music we have taken to region and state assessment, the music we have had limited time to learn, and finally, the growths we have made between Christmas and now. The spring concert always gives off a different kind of feeling that just makes me really happy and I’m excited to feel that happiness.”
Sophomore Matthew Rugg said, “I believe students outside of the band program should come and relish in the gift of music, seeing how hard work and dedication can inspire one to play music and witness the story that music can tell without words.”
Sophomore Alissa Nelson said, “I am most looking forward to showing everyone the talent that will be showcased. We have many songs that show the talents of many. There are about 6 songs that our amazing directors have put together, and even about 6 songs coming from the jazz band! I cannot wait for everyone to experience the feeling of when a band truly loves what they are playing.”
As stated previously, the concert will be on Thursday at 6 p.m. All students are welcome to attend and watch the spectacular performance given by the GHS band.
