Today was part of a Plant Science RTI. Three weeks ago students took clippings of Ms. Ramsey’s large spider plant and propagated the babies in water. Students have come by to check on those the past weeks. Today, Ms. Jackson took students to the greenhouse and let them plant their propagated plants so they could take them home. Students were also allowed to look around at the plants that will be available at next week’s plant sale.

📢 Reminder: Arkansas Schools' Cell Phone Policy 📢
To help students reconnect and focus on learning, Act SB142 bans cell phones during the school day in public schools.
🔹 "Bell to Bell, No Cell" – Phones must remain off during class time.
🔹 More focus, less distraction – This policy helps improve engagement and social interaction.
Thank you for supporting a positive learning environment! 📚

This is a reminder that the school calendar has been updated to include April 18 and May 23 as makeup weather days. The six makeup days will now be April 18, May 23, and May 27-30, 2025, with the last day of school on May 30.

GHS Families,
A federal law entitled "Erin's Law" and the Arkansas Learns Act charge schools to present age-appropriate education on recognizing unsafe situations like abuse and how to take steps to protect themselves. We have partnered with the local Child Advocacy Center to bring this information to our students. We will do so with grade level assemblies in the coming weeks(4/11, 4/25, 5/2, 5/9). You can find a letter explaining a little about the assembly content in this document (https://bit.ly/GHSCFAC).
If you would prefer your student NOT attend this assembly, please email Dorie Davenport at ddavenport@gentrypioneers.com.
Sincerely,
Justin Blanchard
