Christmas Eve gift number 4. No Grinchy Green Day would be complete without a visit from the Grinch himself. Mr Little joined in the fun as the Grinch. He was overheard saying "his heart grew three times its size!"

We had an assembly today at GHS to discuss our new cell phone policy. Beginning on Monday, December 9th, cell phones will not be allowed to be out during school hours. This includes hallways and lunches. Please be aware of this change. Contact the office at 479-736-2667 or email your student if you need to get a message to them. A spirit of generosity is a defining characteristic of our community. Today, we were able to provide food to 130 families. It takes a lot of help to make this happen. Thank you to all those who helped:
Our school counselors
Brand New Church
First Baptist Church
Mrs. Fairchild's classes
GHS Maintenance crew
GMS Boosters
We're thankful for these partnerships!

Over the last several weeks, students and staff have donated items to fill shoeboxes for children around the world through the organization Operation Christmas Child. As a culminating event, organizers, Ms. Jackson and Mrs. Blanchard hosted a packing party in the GHS Library to ready the boxes for delivery. The group packed 50 shoeboxes! First Baptist Church will send them for us! Thank you everyone for participating in this worthy cause! Thank you to Pat Barnes for being our point of contact! At Gentry, we ensure all students connect, learn, and succeed, and are honored to share our mission with children outside our local community.

GHS will have an early release of 1:30 tomorrow, 11/22/24, and will follow the same schedule as last week.
Tomorrow, our students will have an opportunity to see our school play entitled "The Day the Internet Died." Cost for attendance is $2 and will be turned into their 3rd period teacher.

Students did a great job testing today! We're proud of their effort! We want to remind you of a couple of things for tomorrow:
1. 9th and 10th graders - Bring your Chromebook fully charged. Bring your charger to school today.
2. 11th and 12th graders - Remember to have your verification form signed by your job shadow or college day to be counted a school business.
