The Pioneers were able to score from a cross from freshman defender Nick Linch to sophomore forward Kevin Ochoa, but when Ochoa headed the ball, the ball was too high and went over the goal.
The Pioneer had possession of the ball in the second half. The Pioneers were able to score about three more times in the second half, but the Tiger’s goalie was able to stop all of the close shots. The Tigers were able to score 2 more goals to put the game away. The final score was 7-0. “The first half we started to get serious and too harsh on each other. After halftime we started to play as a team and we were just having fun out there on the field and we were able to actually get some good-looking shots on goal. We just have to stay in it together throughout the season and have some fun,” said Ochoa after the loss.
