The Very Talented Haylee Pyburn
As most of you know, Haylee Pyburn is a very talented singer and is also my interesting student of the week. She is 15-years-old and is in 10th grade.
Pyburn has a little brother whose name is Will and is 12-years-old. She has 2 dogs, one named Ginger and the other Rocky, and one cat named Nico. Her interests include singing, playing piano, creating art, and being involved around school.
When Pyburn grows up she wants to be a mental health counselor. Some interesting clubs that she is in includes art club and Tri-M Music Honor Society. She also is one of the few students that participates in almost every school event. Every dress up day she goes full out.
She has been singing since before she could talk. Her first vocal performance was a duet with her close friend, Amanda Smith, when they were 9 and she started playing piano when she was 7.
Pyburn is currently taking piano lessons from Ms. Jackie Wren and is also taking vocal lessons from Mr. Casey Jones.
She said, “What interested me was when I was little, my mom would play music in the car a lot and I fell in love with it. Thanks to my mom, the first real song I was caught singing was “Landslide” by Dixie Chicks. Also when I would get frustrated as a toddler, I would go play my toy piano. I have always loved music.”
