Gentry Defeats Green Forest
The Lady Pioneers traveled to Green Forest on Thursday, April 21 to play the Lady Tigers. The Lady Pioneers were slow to get started in the game, scoring only 4 runs in the first four innings of play. The score at the bottom at the fourth, 4-0, with Gentry leading. The Lady Pioneers were able to score 6 runs in the fifth inning, putting them at a total of 10 runs. The Lady Tigers were able to get 3 runs on the board at the bottom of the sixth inning. The seventh inning was held scoreless. Gentry defeated the Green Forest Lady Tigers with a score of 10-3.
Sophomore Alexis Droddy, right-fielder, said this about the game, “Green Forest was good preparation for our last conference game against our rivals, the Gravette Lady Lions.”
The Lady Pioneers next game is today April 22, in Gravette against the Lady Lions. This game is senior night for the Lady Lions. Come out and support the Lady Pioneers at 5:00 as they take on the Lions in Gravette.
