Gentry Fights Hard
On Thursday, March 18th the senior high track team headed to Green Forest for a meet. Both boys and girls had and overall pretty good performance.
Senior Bryan Harris won high point for the track meet with a total of 48.5 points and junior Cole Cripps was right behind him with 40.5 points. Harris won the 200 meter, high jump, 100 meter, and the 110 hurdles; he received second in the triple jump and third in the 4×1.
When I asked Harris how he felt, he did he responded, “I feel good about what I did; I just wish we could have come away with the win.”
Cripps took care of pole vault, triple jump, long jump, placed 6th in the 200 meter and 5 in the high jump and third in the 4×1. Senior Mallory Morris took care her fair share getting 2nd in the 800 meter and placing very well in her other events.
The Pioneers will continue their season with their next track meet at Gravette on March 31st.
