Pioneers Take Two on the Road
The junior high track team went to Siloam Springs on Friday, March 11th. The Pioneers had a very successful meet, winning it all.
Freshman Adrian Ramirez won the pole vault with a jump of 10’. Freshman Brandon Atwood had a very successful night, winning the triple jump. Freshman Jamin Mathis won high point for the track meet. Mathis won disc, high jump and placed in both the three hurdles and the 110 hurdles.
The team headed to Green Forest for their next track meet. The Pioneers left Green Forest with another plaque winning it all. Atwood had another good meet, winning the triple jump and Ramirez handling the pole vault once again. Freshman Brett Jackson also tied for first in the pole vault, but due to a couple of misses, he was given the second place.
When I asked Freshman Brett Jackson how he felt they did he responded with, “I am really proud of how we are competing right now; I hope we can keep this up through conference.”
The junior high will continue their track season after spring break.
