Jarnagan Running her way Through Life
Jaydon Jarnagan is a freshman here at Gentry High School. She is 15-years-old and has attended Gentry schools for 4 years.
Jarnagan is an animal lover; she has 9 dogs, 23 horses, and 1 donkey. She enjoys working out and is left-handed. Jarnagan has been in barrel racing since she could walk. She has a sister named Jenna Jarnagan who is a junior at Gentry who also barrel races.
Jarnagan got interested in barrel racing because she thought it was fun to ride fast on her horses and win money. To prepare for barrel racing she rides her horse for about 30 minutes every other day to exercise him. She said her horse is already trained so she doesn’t practice the barrels. All she has to do is make sure her horse is in shape.
At GHS, Jarnagan is involved in basketball, volleyball, track, cross country. She started basketball when she was in 6th grade, volleyball and track in the 7th grade, and cross country in the 9th. She likes to run and enjoys being active. She said what interests her in sports is that she can do more of those activities in sports.
Jarnagan’s advice for others, “Don’t give up on what you want to achieve.” Coach Graham said, “She helped contribute to our state runner up in cross country. She came in and helped us without much training and ran really well.”
