Hittin’ the Shot
The senior high Pioneers traveled to Huntsville on February 3 to play the Eagles. The Pioneers played a tough game. The Lady Eagles got a lead early in the game. The score was 7-6, Huntsville, at the end of the first quarter. Many of the Lady Pioneers contributed to Gentry’s score by the end of the game. They struggled to get points, but were tied by the end of the third. Unfortunately, the Lady Pioneers weren’t able to push their score above the Lady Eagles. Huntsville came out on top, winning 37-36.
Junior Mystic West said this about the game, “We played the second best team in our conference, and the game was a struggle. We pushed hard and played our best. We hope to improve as we continue farther into the season.”
The Lady Pioneers will travel to Prairie Grove on the 5th. Prairie Grove asked that Gentry fans wear pink to the game to participate in a PINK OUT day for a Prairie Grove teacher with breast cancer.
