JH Basketball: Eagles fly past the Pioneers
The Pioneers were unable to connect for the win against the Huntsville Eagles on last Thursday night’s game.
“I feel like we just did not play our hardest and were unable to hit the important shots,” said 8th grade forward Casey Bates after the loss.
The Pioneers were going into the locker rooms during halftime tied 20-20. Then when the third quarter started the Pioneers couldn’t keep up with the Eagles; at the end of the 3rd the Eagles were up 26-22. The ending score of Thursday night’s junior high game against the Huntsville Eagles was 34-24. The leading scorers of the game for the Pioneers were freshman forward Dylan Kilgore with 11 points and Bates with 5 points.
The Pioneers are now 0-6 in conference. Their next game is going to be today against the Shiloh Saints in Springdale. The last time these two teams met, the Pioneers couldn’t connect and lost 50-37.
