Canned Food
Drive |
| Every year FBLA sponsors a
Canned Food Drive. GHS had a great turn out for this year's food drive.
All collected canned goods were donated to the Gentry First Baptist Church Food
Pantry to be distributed to families in need. Gentry FBLA takes great
pride in helping the people of our community. See if you can
find FBLA in the picture below! |

Thanksgiving
Baskets |
| For our Thanksgiving project, our
chapter decided to create food baskets for the families of local
service men who were called into action after the September 11th
attacks. Our members felt this was a way to show our appreciation for
their dedication and sacrifice in the line of duty. |

Christmas
Bags |
| As a community service
project, FBLA volunteered to create Christmas bags for the Gentry
Christmas Parade. These bags were stuffed with Christmas candy,
Santa
necklaces, pens, and Little Debbie snack cakes, which were produced
locally at the Gentry McKee Foods Facility. The Gentry Chamber
of Commerce expressed their gratitude for our service and hard
work. |

Bowl-A-Thon |
| Just to prove that you can
still have fun while helping people in need, we went bowling. A
local bowling alley hosted a Bowl-A-Thon and the entry fees, $100
per team, went to help the victims of the Sept. 11th attack. FBLA
entered two teams and created our own t-shirts, as seen below. |

2nd Annual
GHS Chili Cook-off |
| FBLA, in cooperation with
the other Vocational Student Organizations at GHS, hosts the Annual
GHS Chili Cook-Off. This competition is the highlight of
Vocational Student Organization Week. The entry fees and donations
were given to the Gentry Public Library to promote literacy. The
Gentry community is in the process of raising the necessary funds
for a new facility. FBLA participated by entering a team of their
own. For more information on the chili cook-off click here.
Below pictured is the winning teams, go figure! |
