GHS Band Members attended the All Star Band clinic in Atkins, AR Friday and Saturday (4/4-4/5/08). Ashley Newman and Andrew Rotramel qualified. Andrew was 1st chair tuba and Ashley was 9th chair flute.  Congratulations!  Their director is Michelle Slayton.   The Band earned a SUPERIOR rating at Concert Contest last week in Gravette. They also made a SUPERIOR rating in sight-reading. This is the first SUPERIOR they have earned in a concert setting in 5 to 7 years. They performed very well and represented our district with pride.

 

 

Congratulations to Sara Huckleberry (bass clarinet) and Cassandra McCratic (alto saxophone) for making the Junior High All Region Band!

Congratulations to Andrew Rotramel for making the Symphonic Arkansas All-State Band!
